QR Codes

What are QR codes?

QR is short for Quick Response.  A QR code is a kind of simplified bar code that allows your smart phone to read data that has been encoded.  Coupons, directions, contacts, and web addresses can all be encoded into a simple, visual icon that can be read by your smartphone.

How do they work?

Most phones will require the download of an app or reader (several are available on this page).  The app uses your phone camera to capture the QR code.  It the reader translates the code for you.  Some readers allow you allow you to choose if you want to take the action it offers.  Others will take you directly there.

Why Does Savannah Mall use QR Codes?

We have lots of deals and offers that are being posted all the time.  We don’t want you to get home from the mall and only then find out that something you were looking for was on sale!  When you scan a QR code at the mall, it will take you to the place on our website with the deal information you’re looking for.  For instance, the QR code on our posters for DEALS will take you to our DEALS page, where all of our current offers are listed.  If you are only interested in deals and activities relating to SPORTS, there is a QR code for that.  We have one for fun, which will tell you about activities and events at the mall.  There are also QR codes for STYLE and for FOOD.

If you already have a reader,  try this QR code.  You can read it right from your computer screen:
